Overview

Be prepared to lead from any level in your organization and empower yourself with the Master of Global Engineering Leadership (MGEL) degree that is offered 100% online. The MGEL will enable you to develop a compelling vision and an understanding of how to tackle strategic initiatives and create more value within your business. Learn new management and technical skills as well as a better understanding of the business-government relationship – all in one graduate degree.

Enhance Your Technical Skills

The MGEL degree provides a strong engineering focus through technical track specializations. Each student selects a track that consists of four graduate level engineering courses in a specific field of study such as automotive engineering, civil and environmental engineering, or additive manufacturing. Students then apply their new, advanced, technical skills and knowledge in an integrative project at the end of the program.

Grow As A Leader

The MGEL curriculum includes six core courses designed specifically for engineers to teach them leadership and real-world management skills plus how to apply them within their industry. The MGEL makes this combination possible in a single degree through a partnership between the College of Engineering, The Fisher College of Business, and the John Glenn College of Public Affairs.

Six Sigma Certification

Students have the opportunity to earn Six Sigma certification as well as the MGEL degree. Yellow, Green, or even Black Belt dependent upon previous Six Sigma projects completed.

"I have seen great things out of the MGEL program, and I want everyone to know about it. I have seen other universities offer programs like it. However, MGEL’s quality program offerings coupled with Ohio State's reputation make the opportunity second to none."
