CIO Solutions Practicum Dinner July 2018

When:
July 18, 2018

Location:
The Ohio State University
The Blackwell Inn and Conference Center

Session Topic:

“Where Might Our New Leadership Come From? You!!”

A big focus of many CIO’s for the last several years has been addressing the pressures and opportunities associated with digital transformation; yet the rate of adoption and application of these new developments still remains nominal. Something clearly has to change.

To propel their organizations into the future and exploit global technology disruption and rapid innovation, CIO’s need to build a new model of leadership with their teams.  So where might this new brand of leaders begin to come from?  The answer might be as simple as looking in the mirror,…if you are willing to begin this road to change by changing yourself.

In this session, the widely acclaimed Mr. Russell Stalters will share his leadership lessons based on almost 40 years as a Naval Aviator and CIO, software company president, and the senior IT leader hand-selected by BP to quickly build the team, create the strategy and applications, and manage the information and data from the Deepwater Horizon incident and oil spill.  Via this incredible background, you will learn practical ways to build this new model and create a culture of leadership development for yourself and your organization.

The “CIO Practicum” (part of the widely respected “CIO Solutions Gallery” series) is an ongoing forum where senior IT leaders and their business peers come together in a shared working dinner setting to learn from one another.  Uniquely organized around “peer learning”, this provocative program has received high praise among participating CIOs and other senior executives in the technology and/or operations leadership community.   It helps to build an improved and creative personal network of peers and executives devoted to sharing best practices, renewing their skills on an ongoing basis, and raising the level of technical “literacy” and effectiveness within their organizations.

The Practicum is always led by the wickedly smart and always engaging internationally known IT futurist, Mr. Thornton A. May.

There is no cost to invited senior leaders.  Sponsoring opportunities are available for invited technology product and service providers.
